Module 7 Information

The Paralysis of Perfect Information

Examining how the search for more information becomes a mechanism for avoiding the decision itself. We look at the paradox of choice, information overload in financial contexts, and what a "good enough" decision framework looks like in practice. The session includes a structured exercise in applying satisficing criteria to a real financial decision type.

Module 6 Emotion

Emotional Accounting: How Feelings Shape Financial Choices

A session on mental accounting, emotional valuation, and how the emotional context of a financial decision shapes whether we make it at all. We examine the role of financial anxiety and shame in producing avoidance, and specific reframing techniques that reduce the emotional weight of decisions without dismissing the emotions themselves.

When Knowing Isn't Enough
